Purse Organizers

If you know me, you know that I am somewhat of a Fashionista. Heck, some even call me a Diva. I am that mom who steps outta her van wearing inappropriate 5 inch wedges and a handbag that should not, repeat, should not be anywhere near sticky, messy, clumsy kids. It's crazy, but I need something to keep me from feeling like the tired grouchy mommy from Hell.

Aside from the high heels my signature look is to always have a handbag that "goes" with my outfit. That means that I have bags in all colors: red, orange, yellow, green, pink, blue, brown, black, gray, red (to name a few). And it means that I might wear 7 different bags in the span of one week. Crazy? Yes. Switching bags is a PITA. Ask my husband. He's always coerced into helping me find "this" or "that." And I spend a lot of my precious free time looking in the van, the bedroom, in boxes, at work for "this" and "that" that I've misplaced. Sometimes I'll have to call my husband frantically, "Have you seen my red wallet? I've LOST it!" I'll be screaming at him as I am running around the house with cell phone in hand.

Thus, I am very, very, very hopeful that my latest purchase will ease some of my grief and self-lectures. I've been wanting one of these for awhile but hadn't been able to see one "in person" until a few nights ago.

Meet my purse organizer (shown in my Louis Vuitton Batignolles Horizontal and Neverfull). This particular one comes from The Plaid Purse:

These little slices of heaven are great for keeping everything safe and organized in your purse. There are pockets of different sizes. If you are like me and carry everything but your kitchen sink in your bag and love to wear roomy hobo unstructured bags, this is for you!!! I tend to spend a lot of time searching for "this" and "that" in my bag...and sometimes it's hard to find anything in there being that I am carrying the kids' jackets, my Kindle, my camera, 10,000 different reward cards, Starbucks gold cards...well, you get the deal. And, like I said, when it's time to switch bags in the morning (after changing my outfit 10 times and running late to preschool) all I need to do is pull the organizer out and stuff it into the "it" bag of the day.

The style that's pictured is the large one with zipper by The Plaid Purse.

Ciao!

Van Mommy on the Run!

Welcome to my new Blog!

Hi, I'm Rene and I am a frazzled working mom of three kids, one "big" kid, and one loud jack russell. I feel as though I am constantly on the run, constantly trying to head off disasters, and always trying to take care of everyone. Lucky for me, I've found a job that I love that also maximizes my mommy strengths.

I've created this Blog to help others like me who need help with organization and motivation to stay ahead of this battle called life. It is my hope that some of the tricks I've found to help keep my life somewhat under control will also help others out there.

So join me as I do a little ranting, give a few suggestions, and share some of the little slices of heaven that keep me out of a padded room with no visitors, and the hair on my head.

peace out,

van mommy on the run :)
